Peter & Beth Ann
10.20.18
Dear Guests,
Brought together by a mutual love of friends, music, and cats (I just didn't know it yet), Beth Ann and I started dating in 2015. By summer 2016, we had moved to Chicago on little more than an intern's and a barista's salary. While in hindsight this may not have been the most fiscally responsible move, we quickly settled into a cozy life filled with coffee, adventures to different neighborhoods of the city, and a whole lot of The Office and Parks and Rec. In February 2017, I finally did what I knew I wanted to do for a long time, and set a plan in motion to get Beth Ann's closest friends to Chicago at once as part of an elaborate proposal/engagement party. Come April, not even a speed skating competition or a creepy man in a trench coat could keep us from getting engaged.
Now, over two years since deciding to move in together, we have two jobs at Northwestern University, a master’s degree (and another on the way), and a cat that loves Beth Ann more than any cat should ever love a person.
I love to cook dinner for Beth Ann every night, spend my free time getting involved in local politics, and enjoy every drive home to Michigan (even though we've basically come back a million times in the last couple of years).
Beth Ann reads every second that she's not doing school work, goes to concerts to indulge her internal angsty teen, watches the same ten sappy movies on repeat, and loves our cat Matilda Jean more than any person should ever love a cat.
We are so lucky to have such amazing people like you in our lives. You've all had such a huge impact on who we are, and we can't wait to celebrate with you come October 20th. Most importantly, we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together and to continue to travel an obnoxious amount to see all of you, even though it's never long enough.
-Peter

REGISTRY
As most of you know, we have been living together for a few years, and have already accumulated too much stuff. There are still a few things you can get for us from Target and Bed Bath & Beyond, or you can help us pay for our honeymoon road trip (just click on the logos)!
Gifts are absolutely not necessary - having you at our wedding with us is more than enough.
